Good for the price but don’t expect too much I guess for the money this is a pretty decent camcorder but I’m thinking now that I should have paid a bit more for something which would deliver a better result. Movies recorded on the highest quality setting are fine but nothing special, and actually finding the settings for recording full HD at 50p fps involves a fair amount of menu-wrangling. When you eventually find and select the highest quality options a number of ‘warnings’ pop up telling you that you’ve now limited your options for recording on various media. I’ve no idea why this happens. It’s a pretty dumb system. The camcorder is set to record at 720p at a lower framerate out of the box and the quality there is pretty shocking unless you keep the camcorder still whilst filming. But I can live with that, because this is after all an entry-level product for Sony.However, the biggest gripe I had was when it came to transferring my movies onto the computer.
