Mrs. S. Cooper says:

Acer LED monitor.Really good value. This 22 inch monitor was purchased to replace a defective LCD one. I was pleased to find that it was very easy to install, and, very pleased with its’s performance.Only two small problems.1. The quick-start booklet could have been more helpful, the on-screen manual was less than forthcoming about the switches which are on the bottom edge of the frame. There are six in all, hard to see and use. The default setting gives you about ten seconds for operation of the various functions, a case of ‘Beat the Clock’!I rectified the finding of these switches by a short length of matt Selotape stuck to the front lower frame and marked the switch positions with a white fine line.Much easier!2. This cause of head-scratching involved total lack of information about altering the format between wide and standard screens.Possibly a ten year old would have known how, but it caused this 83 year old, quite a while to puzzle out. Overall though, really good value…

Mr. Alan O'connor "Victor Meldrew" says:

Good Value Monitor First, I have to comment on the Amazon service. I placed the order on the 14th, with the free delivery option- estimated delivery 20th-22nd. It arrived at 6 p.m. on the 16th. I live in Edinburgh and Amazon recently opened a distribution centre near Dunfermline. The service was always good, but now it’s superb. The monitor is surprisingly light for the size, but seems well made. I would have given it 5 stars but for the hopeless control button arrangement on the base. These are settings that will probably only have to be made once, but it’s the poorest layout I’ve ever seen. The monitor has VGA and DVI-D connectivity and comes with a VGA cable. The colours, sharpness and contrast are very good, but my PC has an HDMI output so I’ve ordered an HDMI-DVI-D lead from Amazon to see if it makes any difference. If it doesn’t, it’s a whole £2.83 down the drain. An earlier reviewer remarked that this cable cost about a third of the price of a pint- he must be drinking in one of the “footballers”…
