Simply wow..! I was a bit sceptical of buying a tablet for the money this cost, but I am glad I did!I was using the folks Kindle fire, and their Google Nexus tablet, and they were quite good, but I couldn’t get on with them. I find Ice Cream Sandwich a bit clunky these days, multitasking hasn’t really been tackled properly on iOS and Android (or hasn’t been revisited for a fair while). This Surface has come out and tackled my Gras with multitasking, instead of double tapping on a button or being forced to reopen an application from the window to resume, you simply swipe in from the left, it is so intuitive! Also, I never knew how to actually close apps properly on those devices, with this, again it is easy, simply swipe from the t all the way to the bottom, and it is gone. One thing that I didn’t read about before buying, and really was the icing on the cake, was you can have two applications open side by side, so you can have twitter, Facebook, messaging or…

Stop Wondering And Buy A Microsoft Surface 31.12.12 UPDATE – It’s been over a month since writing this, you’ll now need an even bigger mug of coffee before you start reading, as I feel the need to add more information to my review. The experience has got even better.Approaching 50 yrs young, I’ve been into gadgets since I was young. I’m not a “fan boy” of any particular manufacturer. So, as such I own:MacBook ProiPad 3 “Retina”Windows 7 Laptop & PCSamsung Galaxy NoteI hope in advance that you can therefore see I’m going to give a balanced view point.Firstly, just to dispel some myths about the Microsoft Surface.1: You can easily type really well on the touch cover!I’ve my own version of touch-typing, like many of you – I’ve typed for so long that I know where the keys are. Despite the “new” experience of typing on a keyboard, that lacks tactile-feel obviously, the experience is great. It is no more taxing than adapting to a keyboard that…

Potentially great little product, with some issues, let down by Windows 8 limitations First of all, this is a really nice-looking and feeling bit of kit. However, the keyboard sold with the computer was hard to use (I made error after error and they didn’t stop coming). So I had to buy the upgraded keyboard, which worked fine – but the price made my eyes water.Second, bluetooth pairing is eccentric to say the least. I bought a bluetooth mouse to save the USB port but although it paired, it won’t stay paired. A hassle. It is now a joy to type on (just as well at the additional price!) and the battery life is amazing. A whole day no problems. HOWEVER if there is a ‘hibernate’ option I couldn’t find it so it can run down unexpectedly. But why no 3G slot? It seems very strange to have a PC that depends 100% on cloud access and then not to give 3g connectivity (more on this below). And I find the WiFi connectivity – e.g. to my iPhone personal hotspot or even to a Vodafone hotspot – very poor. So I find myself frustrated and offline much…
