Reliable I’ve been using this for 6 weeks now while traveling UK & Spain – it seems to have no vices and reliably connects when in range. Battery life is better than expected – I have used it on battery alone for >8hr surfing/email but generally plug it into USB or mains. Wifi range is also impressive for a small unit (>30m)

Works well on 3 Network with Nexus 7 Tablet This device delivers a solid Wi-Fi signal up to about 30ft range. Performance is then dependent on the strength of the mobile network signal. At my home that’s a bit patchy but solved it by putting it on top of high bookshelf near window. Most other places I’ve tried and at my work its very strong.Setting up was very easy except that at first could not find security password anywhere in supplied paperwork or on box — its on a little sticker inside battery cover of device!Seems to be ideal for emails and light web browsing – experience of data usage so far suggests that watching films could get very expensive. Please note that the E585 E586 charging cradle from another seller on Amazon.uk DOES NOT FIT this E586ES.

Works pretty much out of the box **UPDATE**Since my original review, used this on holiday and it worked very much as it did in the UK. I just popped the SIM in, it recognised the network and I was able to use it and connect other devices without any problems. I do think it comes down to network as one SIM I tried didn’t work either on my phone or in the MIFI. The only surprise is that the price has shot up since I bought mine. Overall it’s a good buy, especially when you can see the MBs ticking down in seconds!*******************************************************************I bought this because it was less expensive than the E586 and had an LED screen unlike the cheaper E5331. The bonus for me is that it shows how many KB/MB you’ve used which is great if you’re on a limited data plan. I hadn’t read many (or any) of the reviews here, but after I received the device I read the reviews and started to get nervous, thinking I bought a potential disaster.Put in a Virgin SIM…
