Good overall, but DLNA not perfect At the time of writing 8 apps are available in the main Samsung BD-J5500 interface, including; YouTube, Amazon Instant Video, Netflix and Opera TV Store. Loading the Opera TV Store app gives access to further apps within it, including Picture Stream, a Flickr photo viewer.This device would have got a 5 star rating from me, but for the following points: No BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4OD or Demand 5 present yet. I read that BBC iPlayer is due to be added at some point in 2015. Secondly, while the Samsung BD-J5500 has a DLNA Certified logo, I found that Pause, Fast Forward and Rewind do not work for DLNA videos. Whereas my old Sony PS3 has these controls when connected to the same DLNA server. Perhaps a future version of the Samsung BD-J5500 software, or a different DLNA server, might resolve this. While there are no status lights on the physical device, it boots to the main menu in just under 10 seconds.The software version at the time of this review was the newest…
